I can't sit still, can you? There is so much to do and learn in this lifetime and I don't want to miss a thing. Obsession for Life is a home studio in Pakenham.

I have always aimed high and taken the falls in my stride, and there has been plenty of falls as well as successes. My first aim to be a professional dancer, a monster injury set back in my mid teens meant I had to get creative as to how I was going to achieve this. Many times along the road I was almost there and then another injury would strike. From these set backs I have learnt to find the cre

This mornings boot camp. 6 month pregnant and still going (just). I am defiantly a lot slower with cardio due to cardio restrictions, I have restricted loaded core exercises due to abdominal separation and I probably could do prone exercises but I just don’t feel comfortable anymore. No excuses from me. What’s your excuse?

Final year of my masters has started. It was a cracking day in Bendigo. I am two days in and I am so beat, hopefully it’s just a case of reconditioning to the travel and not old age 😂

Exercise in pregnancy. The rower is harder as my tummy is starting to get in the way at 21weeks. I love everything else. One of the first signs that I was pregnant, I didn’t have to work as hard and my heart rate was 10-20bpm higher. I had been playing around with what heart rate levels and how often to exercise for weight loss so I was very aware of my heart rate and what the intensity of exercise I was doing. I found for the last 8 weeks of the first trimester I could not do much exercise at all, too much movement would cause the nausea to take over and I would end up with my head in the toilet. Thank goodness that has passed and I am back doing most of what I was previously, with a few modifications here and there.
When I was with Exercise research Australia I was given many amazing opportunities and one of these was a heavily pregnant client. I worked with her for the last 10 weeks of her pregnancy, improving her fitness levels in that time and helping her to feel amazing, it is never too late to make a change, there are no excuses.
