Watch out when you’re tired after work. Transition and flat moments of the day can be easily filled with screens but they don’t soothe in a nourishing way.
So have a little bit of screen time, then get outta there and rest in another way.
What if we could show up in our lives without the resentments and hurts that we pick up over the years? Who would we be? That’s what my spiritual work has allowed me…to look at it all and leave it in the past.
Then, only then, can we show up today from a place of presence and true love.
Scrolling and screens take away our ability to be with and notice the little things. Little moments of joy. Like a cute cup.
Give yourself the gift of time and see what joy you can find in the moment.
Just like I found it in the mug cupboard at work! It’s everywhere - wherever you are. X
Be with your food and see if it changes your mood.
When you go to scroll consider this…
Do I want to give my time away?
Do I want to give my attention away?
Do I want to give my presence away?
Do I want to give my connection away?
If you do, go for it.
If it makes you pause, choose to take your time, attention, presence and connection back from the tech giants. Be with yourself and fully in your own life. One precious life baby.
The first step in solving the screen addiction problem are the words ‘I don’t know.’
A great book’s advice about working on being a loving and loveable person before expecting loving connections. Smart. 😘
When reduced phone use = losing dog p**p!
Taking my own screen time medicine. If you’re sick of your device time stacking up, and/or of the kids in your care always on devices…come along for the ride.
