Yesterday we celebrated St Patrick’s Day at Milestones, with both the children and our educating team proudly wearing green. The children enjoyed a range of St Patrick’s Day–inspired crafts and hands‑on experiences, exploring colours, creativity, and a little festive magic along the way.

We loved seeing their excitement and imagination shine through in every activity 💚✨

🌿 Meet Mika - Our New Doll 🌿

We’re excited to introduce Mika, our newest member of Milestones Greensborough. Her name was lovingly chosen by the children and educators, inspired by a traditional name that means “Moon” in her Aboriginal culture - a symbol of light, guidance, and connection.

Today, the children helped wrap Mika in paperbark as her nappy with the nargin, before placing her kangaroo cloak around her. It was a beautiful, hands-on moment of cultural learning, care, and respect.

These experiences help our children build understanding, empathy, and a deeper connection to the stories and traditions of First Nations peoples. Mika has already been welcomed with so much love.

Big feelings can be loud, exhausting, and sometimes arrive at the worst possible moment 🌻

For toddlers and preschoolers, emotional blow-ups often happen because they’re still learning how to cope with frustration, change, and big moments, not because anyone is “doing it wrong”.

At Milestones, we support children through big feelings with calm, consistent care, helping them feel safe while they build emotional skills over time.
