I could talk all day about drawing skills, painting techniques and creative projects.

But this is what really matters.

This is Kiana.

Over the years I've watched her create artwork after artwork inside the Art Club. Her collection now fills folders.

Her mum tells me she's grown in confidence, loves creating and even dresses up as an art teacher because she wants to teach art like Georgie one day. 🥹

Recently she won $100 in an art competition too.

And while that's incredibly exciting, it's not actually my favourite part of this story.

My favourite part is watching a child go from being unsure of themselves to proudly sharing their ideas, creating boldly and believing they can do hard things.

Because that's what creativity does.
It's never really been about the artwork.
It's about confidence.

Five years ago I started recording art lessons for kids who were missing classes at school.

At the time I was teaching art and constantly felt frustrated that there was never enough time.
NAPLAN would pop up.
There'd be an assembly.
A sports carnival.
A special event.

Sometimes I wouldn't see a class for weeks.

So I started making simple video lessons they could do at home.

Then Covid arrived and something really interesting happened.

Kids hated logging onto Zoom for almost everything...
But they never wanted to miss art.

They'd show up every week excited to create.

And that was the moment I realised this could become something much bigger.

Fast forward five years and there are now hundreds of families creating art with me every week inside the Kids Art Club.

Honestly, it still blows my mind.

The artwork is amazing, but it's the messages from parents that make my heart sing.
The confidence. The persistence. The pride kids feel when they finish something they didn't think they could do.

That's why I keep showing up.
