A simple branch can become a beautiful piece of art when creativity takes the lead! Working with clay encourages children to explore fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, creativity, patience, and imagination while enjoying the process of creating something unique.

Through this activity, we learned how to shape, roll, press, attach and decorate clay, transforming natural elements into colourful artwork.

On the first day of Spring the Toddlers went back to the Conservation Reserve to check and water the trees and native wildflowers they planted in previous weeks.

☀️ Chalk, creativity & learning! ☀️

We made the most of the beautiful sunshine today with some outdoor chalk drawing. We placed big sheets of paper on the concrete and let the children explore, experiment and get creative with colourful chalk.

The children enjoyed choosing different colours and creating their own pictures while developing their creativity, imagination and self-expression. They also practised their fine motor skills through drawing, making marks and experimenting with different shapes and lines.

The children demonstrated confidence and creativity as they used wooden blocks to create their own ideas and imaginative play scenarios. They built spaces for animals, then enjoyed hiding and finding the animals within their creations.

Today the children created their very own clay volcanoe and brought it to life with a bubbly eruption using vinegar and bicarb soda!

This hands-on experience was full of excitement, curiosity and learning. The children explored cause and effect, observed chemical reactions.
