πβ¨ Celebrating Culture, Community β¨π
During Harmony Week at Swan Early Learning, we are celebrating the beautiful cultures that make our community so special. This week we are also learning about Nowruz, the Persian New Year, celebrated by millions of people around the world.
Nowruz marks the first day of spring and symbolises new beginnings, hope, and renewal. Families celebrate by coming together, sharing special foods, decorating the Haft-Seen table, and welcoming a fresh start for the year ahead.
By exploring celebrations like Nowruz, our children learn about respect, diversity, and the joy of different traditions from around the world.

The director's family at Swan Early Learning Derrimut has crafted commendable beanies for the Barwon Health Foundation and the Cancer Foundation.
The incredible Phonchone family have done it again.
This time, an extraordinary three hundred hand-knitted beanies, lovingly made by Linda and Kim.
Weβre told they search high and low for the softest wool, even travelling to Melbourne, to make sure each beanie is as gentle and comforting as possible for patients at the Andrew Love Cancer Centre, and across University Hospital.
Three hundred acts of kindness that serve as reminders that our community cares π§‘

Today at our Ringwood centre, our little stars stepped into big shoes! From a brave spaceman getting ready to explore space π, to a courageous firefighter π©βπ, and a caring nurse rushing in an emergency ambulance. π¨ββοΈπ

They discover different careers, understand the importance of essential jobs, and begin to appreciate the people who serve and protect our communities every day.
