Watching children grow and develop is always an honour I would never take for granted but when it's time for them to leave the hive, it's something I still find hard 15 years on.
That's why moments like today bring me so much joy.
Jessica joined me at our Flemington and Bowes Ave community centre groups back in the day so I got to watch her go from crawling, to walking, to dancing and everything in between. As with all my amazing bumblebees, she grew up and moved on but when her mum came in with her younger sister Jade this term, I was so excited and then today Jessica dropped into class with Jade and it was such a lovely surprise and made my day.

What a bunch of legends we have in our term 2 group at Taylors Hill Youth and Community Centre. They sure brought the energy!

My new single Unapologetically Neurodivergent will be going live in 1 week and I couldn't be more excited if I tried.
I was diagnosed with ADHD as a teenager, but it wasn't until my three children were diagnosed with ADHD and Autism that I realised that loads of my "ADHD" quirks were actually autistic traits so got diagnosed Autistic in my 40's making me an AuDHDer.
As an early childhood music educator, I have always had a heavy focus on children being 100% themselves but have come to learn over the years that many neurodivergents mask in order to fit in to a neurotypical society which can often lead to health issues down the track.
Although the umbrella of neuro divergence includes over 20 brain-based differences where individuals process, learn, and respond to the world differently from neurotypical norms, this song focuses on my personal experiences as a neurodivergent in hope that other neuro spiceys will feel seen and have the confidence to be 100% themselves in their true form.
