Congratulations Naomi!

Having just returned from the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair a few weeks back, it's great to see current parent and artist Naomi Hobson recognised as a finalist in the Sunshine Coast Art Prize 2017!

The 39 finalists were selected from an original 461 applicants, and are now showing at the Caloundra Regional Gallery, which hosts the Prize.

Naomi is represented in Melbourne by Alcaston Gallery in Fitzroy.

(Her work selected for the Sunshine Prize included in the comments below.)

After a fantastic five days at 2017, a group of intrepid students head home, posing for a final pic at Gove airport. Flying the red-eye out of Darwin, they should just be touching down in Melbourne about now.

Few will perhaps remember this view. When the Dining Hall was extended in the 1950s, a Tutors' Common Room with views out to the Vatican Lawn was added in.

Later known as the Senior Common Room, it would have a variety of uses, ending its days as the Director of Advancement's office.

It was demolished in 2012 to make way for ... new toilets behind the Hall! 😳

We're welcoming residential students back this week, gearing up for a bumper second semester!

And not far off, the College Ball. Will it live up to the high standards set by the team of 1994?
