π©Ί Many of the mainstream psychological treatments focus on individuality, but gestalt therapy starts somewhere different.
π We don't experience life in isolation. Our sense of self is shaped by the relationships we're in, the environments we move through, and the moments of connection and disconnection that leave their mark on us.
π€ We invite you to experience gestalt through dialogue, and online workshop hosted by Gestalt Therapy Australia on Thursday 14 May, 6.30β8.30 pm (AEDT)
π Dialogue in gestalt represents a way of being in relationship that trusts the between and is willing to surrender to what emerges there. In a gestalt dialogue, meaning is not found in one person or the other, but only in the dialogue itself, in the "between" which people live together.
π Through dialogue, you discover who you are in relationship, exploring the intersubjective patterns that emerge and recognising that in any meeting, both parties are changed.
π Your facilitator is Tony Jackson, gestalt psychotherapist and Managing Director of the Gestalt Centre, with over 20 years of experience in gestalt practice, supervision, and training.
π The workshop is experiential and highly interactive. You will practise and apply key concepts through pairs and small group activities - the same methodology as our psychotherapy training program. A certificate of completion is available on request.
π€© Looking forward to connecting with you at the workshop!

Western thought has often cast curiosity as a solitary pursuit of hidden knowledge. But Perry Zurn and Dani S. Bassett propose something more relational: βImagine a curiosity that aims less to know and more to make connections.β For them, knowledge-seeking is never purely individual but part of a web of social relations. https://thereader.mitpress.mit.edu/curiosity-is-no-solo-act/
