Here’s a sneak peek at what our amazing students have been up to this week:

🌊 Juniors turned into coastal detectives! They investigated the iconic 12 Apostles, watching how powerful ocean waves shape the coast—and checking out cool throwback photos to see what the stacks looked like before two of them collapsed! 📸💥

🥢The Middles took a trip to Vietnam! From bustling transport and unique homes to vibrant music, art, and (of course!) delicious food, they’ve been soaking up every bit of Vietnamese culture. 🍜🎨

🛂 Seniors are jet-setting around the globe with their Cultural Passports! They’ve been uncovering famous landmarks and mouth-watering dishes across Kenya, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and Scotland. 🗺️🍲

🌊🐠 Dive into the Great Barrier Reef! 🐠🌊

Our Middle Level students have been busy creating colourful Great Barrier Reef sponge paintings in preparation for this year's Art Show! 🎨🧽✨

Using sponges to print and layer vibrant colours, students have brought the underwater world to life with coral 🪸, tropical fish 🐠 and ocean colours 🌈🌊. They also created their own coral and sea animal silhouettes, adding depth, texture and movement to their beautiful reef scenes. 🪸🐢🐟✨

Our Book Week Dress Up Day is happening on Monday 24th August, and we can’t wait to see our students (and their incredible costumes!) take part in our Book Week Parade from 9:15am! 🎉📚

Parents are warmly encouraged to stay and enjoy the parade with us! 💚

🏊‍♀️ It’s a big week of swimming, with all levels taking part in their swimming lessons throughout the week! Get ready to make a splash! 💦🌊

💙 On Wednesday, our Mini Vinnies will head to Realm as part of Homelessness Awareness Week, learning more about how we can support and care for others in our community. 🤝❤️

📚 Thursday brings another special Story Time session for our 3 & 4-year-old friends in the library! 📖✨

🙏 And on Saturday, we celebrate a very special milestone as our Confirmation candidates receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Please keep them in your prayers as they take this important step in their faith journey. 🕊️💛

🎨🌅 The Three Sisters are coming to life! 🌅🎨

Our Junior Level students have been getting creative as they prepare a very special artwork for this year's Art Show! 🖍️✨ Using chalk and clever blending techniques, students have created stunning sunsets behind the iconic Three Sisters, bringing the Australian landscape to life. 🏔️🌄

But this artwork is about more than just creativity! 💛 Students have also explored the traditional Dreamtime story of the Three Sisters and learnt about the deep cultural significance of this important Australian landmark. 🇦🇺🌿

🌟 Faith Learning Across the School 🌟

💙 Our Juniors have been learning all about St Mary MacKillop! They explored her personal life and her professional life, discovering more about the incredible woman behind Australia’s first saint. 🙏

🌹 Our Middles have been learning about the Assumption of Mary and why this special feast is so important in our Catholic faith. They have been exploring Mary’s role and reflecting on her life and faith. 💙

✨ Our Seniors have been exploring the Fruits of the Holy Spirit and choosing one fruit that represents how they try to live out their faith each day. 🍎🙏

It has been wonderful to see our students growing in their knowledge, understanding and connection to their faith! 💛

🐝🤖 Bee-Bot Adventures in STEM! 🚀

Our Prep and Junior students have been buzzing with excitement in STEM! 🐝✨ They’ve been learning to code their Bee-Bots, follow directions, solve challenges and work together as a team. From collecting gems 💎 to navigating number cards 🔢 and flying “home” to their very own beehives 🏡🐝, our little coders have shown amazing creativity, persistence and problem-solving skills!

They’ve even discovered why bees are so important to our environment! 🌏💛

🌟 Term 3, Week 5 is here! 🌟 Another exciting week is ahead as we continue learning, growing and celebrating together! 💚

🙏 On Monday, our Confirmation candidates will take part in their Confirmation Reflection Day as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Please keep them in your prayers as they continue this special faith journey. 💛

🚑 Also on Monday, we're excited to welcome St John Ambulance for a whole-school incursion! Students will build important first aid and safety skills while learning how they can help others in an emergency. What a fantastic life skill to have! 👏

📚 On Thursday, we can't wait to welcome our youngest community members back for another fun-filled Story Time in the library. Bring a friend along—the more the merrier! 🌈📖

Our Senior Level students have been busy preparing something very special for this year's Art Show, creating traditional Kenyan huts inspired by the Maasai community. 🇰🇪❤️

Using recycled and reused materials ♻️, students are exploring how creativity and sustainability can come together while learning about the rich culture, traditions and strong sense of community of the Maasai people. 🌿🤝 Each hut is thoughtfully designed, showing how everyday materials can be transformed into something truly meaningful. 🎨✨

These unique creations are just one of the many incredible artworks that will be showcased at our Art Show. Come along with your family and friends 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦, celebrate the amazing talents of our students 🌟 and enjoy a journey around the world through art! 🌍🎨 We can't wait to share these wonderful creations with you! 💙✨
