On Monday, our Grade 5 & 6 students can enjoy a FREE DRESS DAY ππ by bringing along a block of chocolate π« for our School Fete. Every donation helps make our Chocolate Toss stall a sweet success! π‘π¬
Thursday brings a special opportunity for our school community to gather for the Feast of the Sacred Heart Mass β€οΈπ, followed by Food Line, where we continue living out our values of service, compassion and helping others. π₯«π
Then on Friday, it's time to warm up with Hot Chocolate Day βπ« before celebrating all the amazing learning happening across the school at our Learning Expo πβ¨. We'll finish the week together with our Whole School Assembly ππ.

ππ What an Exciting Term of Excursions! ππ
This term, our students have had some incredible learning adventures beyond the classroom! ππ
π Prep students enjoyed a wonderful day at Chesterfield Farm, getting up close with farm animals and learning all about life on the farm. πππ
πΏ Junior students explored the natural world with the Gould League, taking part in hands-on environmental learning activities and discovering more about the world around them. ππ¦π
π π¦ Middle Level and Senior students visited SEA LIFE Aquarium, where they were amazed by the incredible marine creatures and deepened their understanding of aquatic ecosystems. π’ππ
Across every excursion, our students were engaged, enthusiastic, and eager to learn. It was fantastic to see so many curious minds asking questions, making connections, and embracing new experiences! β¨π

Our students have been busy growing their writing skills in creative and meaningful ways! ππ
π’π Prep students wrote factual sentences about animals and practised word recognition through fun picture-matching activities. π¦π¦π
π¦π Middle Level students have been putting the finishing touches on their information reports about animals they discovered during their visit to SEA LIFE Aquarium! πππ‘
βοΈπ»ββοΈ Seniors have been developing their persuasive writing skills by researching Arctic animals and writing powerful letters to raise awareness about the threats facing these incredible creatures and their habitats. πππ§

π€β¨ Auslan in Action: Pattern Power in the Junior Classroom! β¨π€
Our Junior students have been busy learning how to sign shapes and patterns using Auslan!β
This week, they put their skills to the test by designing their own colourful jumpers filled with different shapes and patterns. π¨π
The fun didn't stop there! Students then worked with a partner and used only Auslan to describe their jumper design, while their partner tried to recreate it. π€π¬
It was wonderful to see our students building their communication skills, practising Auslan, and having lots of fun along the way! ππ

πΏπ¦ Triorama Time! π¦βοΈπ
Our students have been busy bringing habitats to life through their amazing triorama projects! π¨β¨
π Juniors have been creating homes for their mini beasts, carefully including everything they need to survive β shelter, water, and food! It's been wonderful to see their creativity and understanding of habitats shine through.
π¦ Middle Level students have been getting creative with clay, carefully sculpting animals they observed during their visit to SEA LIFE Aquarium to include in their trioramas. From jellyfish to seahorses and other fascinating marine creatures, their artistic skills have been on full display as their underwater worlds begin to come to life! ππͺΌππ¨
βοΈ Seniors have been diving into the icy world of Arctic animals! They are researching their chosen animal's habitat, adaptations, and the challenges they face in the wild. This week, they have begun constructing the first stage of their trioramas, and we can't wait to see them take shape! π»ββοΈπ¦π¨οΈ

πβ¨ Creativity has been shining in Drama and Music this week!
π¦ Preps have been practising freeze frames as lions, flamingos, children stuck in mud, and siblings discovering a room covered in glitter!
π€ Juniors had lots of fun using partner gestures to help bring their class presentations to life.
π Middles have started planning their puppet plays for our junior students and have been practising freeze frames, capturing the moment parents discover an unimaginable mess!
It's fantastic to see our students building confidence, creativity and teamwork through the performing arts! π

π Week 7 is going to be FULL of adventure and excitement! πβ¨
On Monday, our students are heading off on some amazing excursions! ππ The Senior students will explore the wonders of SEA Life Aquarium, while our Junior students visit James League for a special learning experience ππ. Our Middle Level SRC students will also be taking part in the Long Walk at Aquinas College πΆββοΈπΆββοΈ.
Tuesday will see our Division Cross Country team hitting the track πββοΈπββοΈπ¨. We wish all of our runners the very best of luck β go team! ππ
