How many more to go? In our opinion = a few more.

The Reserve Bank has lifted interest rates for the 12th time in just over a year... The fastest on record.

"A further increase in interest rate hikes is to provide confidence that inflation will return to the targeted rate of 2-3%".

However, the closing statement delivered by Mr Lowe.
“Some further tightening of monetary policy may be required to ensure that inflation returns to target in a reasonable timeframe, but that will depend upon how the economy and inflation evolve,”.

He suggests that there are more interest rate hikes to come, and the authorities are determined to take all necessary measures to bring inflation down to the desired level. Brace yourself, as the next six months are likely to be a turbulent ride.
