Laptop Not Charging in Wollert? Check This Before Replacing the Battery

Laptop not charging or not turning on properly?

We recently helped a Wollert customer with a laptop that would not charge consistently. Like many people, they thought the battery might need replacing.

But a laptop charging problem can come from a few places:

๐Ÿ”Œ faulty charger
๐Ÿ”‹ battery issue
๐Ÿ’ป loose charging port
โšก wrong power adapter
๐Ÿ› ๏ธ internal power fault

Before replacing parts, we checked the charger, cable, charging port, battery behaviour and power response first.

Quick tip: if your laptop only charges when the cable is held at an angle, stop forcing it. That can make the charging port damage worse.

Read the full case study here:

Your IT & Tech Mates provides local laptop repairs, computer repairs and onsite tech help across Wollert, Epping, South Morang, Mill Park, Mernda, Doreen and nearby suburbs.
