Identity is an important step for every child, from when they are babies.
At Hubbub, our programme is built around supporting children to know themselves, understand their needs and feel connected to their community.
We help them become confident communicators, curious learners and resilient little people who try again, adapt and grow.

Imagine dropping your child at childcare, walking down the hallway and sitting down at a proper desk, with fast Wi-Fi, a quiet space and good coffee nearby.
No commute. No kitchen table. No trying to focus while small people climb on you.
That is what a day at Hubbub looks like for our coworking members.
Hot desks are available now.

We get it, the morning juggle is real. The drop-off, the commute, the mental load of wondering how your child is settling, all before you have even opened your laptop.
At Hubbub, that juggle looks a little different. One of our families recently shared what their first weeks looked like; a fast turnaround when they needed childcare urgently, a team who guided them through every step, and a coworking desk just down the hall from their son's room.
"Once my son was settled in, it was such a relief knowing he was just next door. Being in the same building made breastfeeding easy, and I could get straight back to work to a comfortable desk, natural light and reliable internet.”

Supporting children to recognise, name and manage their emotions is part of our everyday practice.
As part of our commitment, we have added Kimochis to our toolkit.
Kimochis are soft, expressive plush characters designed to help children understand and talk about their feelings in a playful, accessible way.
Our educators are attending specialist training to learn how to embed these tools meaningfully into daily routines across our Babies and Toddlers and Kinder rooms.

We have been exploring feelings more deeply this term by helping children notice and name them.
Our recent Healthy Harold incursion brought feelings to life. The children were engaged, as they reacted attentively and engaged with others in the room.

Our educators took learning outside recently, with some fun colour mixing activities.
Children got their creative juices flowing. They tested and observed as they combined and made new colours, and learned about cause and effect.

There's something special about watching children notice the world around them in autumn, with the colours changing, and the way a pile of leaves sounds underfoot.
Our outdoor garden area becomes a natural classroom this time of year, as we make the most of the last warm days of the season.
It's sensory play at its best; whether it's an organised craft activity or letting children explore and create with what they find. 🍂
