Transport Victoria's new campaign reminds us that our actions can impact the physical and mental wellbeing of Victorian road workers. So please slow down and please be respectful. Road workers are people too.
We are extremely proud that two of our employees, Nick and Alexandra, were able to be a part of the campaign.
Please slow down. Please be respectful.
Road workers are people too
Every day across Victoria, road workers are doing their job to manage traffic and get you home safely. For a road worker, a road worksite is their workplace....

Road Worker Day of Remembrance (RWDOR) is on November 9th and is dedicated to the Australian Road Workers who have lost their lives or suffered serious injuries while working on our roads. We are honouring the memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice or were injured in the line of duty.
On November 9th, people can show support for road workers in their area by:
โข Slowing down at work sites and where you see the slow/stop signs and reminding other drivers to do the same โ particularly for those teaching Learner drivers.
โข Look out for each other on the road. Itโs a dangerous job, and we want everyone to make it home safely to their families.

R U OK ? A place where asking the question โAre you ok?โ can really work is in the workplace. As employers or staff, we can all create a culture where people feel confident asking and answering this simple yet important question. Besides our legal responsibility of providing a safe and healthy workplace, these conversations can make a real difference to staff going through a tough time.
R U OK? Day (Thursday 8 September, 2022) is the national day of action dedicated to reminding everyone that any day is the day to ask, โAre you OK?โ and support those struggling with life. To find out more about the R U OK? program visit www.ruok.org.au.
Its ok not to be ok and sometimes we require that little bit of extra support. So ask someone today...R U OK?
Miepol continues to offer all staff access to the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), a great initiative for those wanting support.
Have a lovely day.
