SO EXCITED for this 2 day Master Class dedicated to Educational Leadership!

In person and held at my studio for a small group dedicated to building their capacity as leaders of pedagogy!

Come along and join me as I take my 30 years of experience and bring a conversation that invites strategy, purpose and building those all important soft skills - we will tackle the big questions but not ignore things like ‘imposter syndrome’ and relationship management.

This course is built for both experienced leaders and those needing some structure and purpose outside of audits and checking. Let’s build cultures of thinking!

EXCITING NEW PROJECT ON ITS WAY

Kelly, Kirsty and myself have been talking for some time about the need for a new book on environments filled with ideas, photos and inspiration so we got together and made it happen.

We can't wait for it to be released later this year. Keep an eye out for launch dates and details.

What a pleasure to step into the realm of leading dialogue and reflection around leading with purpose with the Explore and Develop Approved Providers.

Lifting our gaze and engaging in organisational reflection about how our purpose translates to the systems and strategies we adopt.

“What have we become very good at doing that may no longer serve who we are becoming?”

One of the great joys I find in my role is being able to shift between contexts, conversations and audiences. So many valuable intersections.

Let’s challenge traditional ideas of ‘group time’ where being stuck on a routine loop is the norm - this session will explore the why, when and how of the choices we make when it comes to grouping children.

Through practical case studies we will unpack various strategies that create meaningful and purposeful group experiences. Want fresh ideas and new perspectives - come join me for this low cost evening live session

Design as a teaching strategy is a wonderful way to slow the process of learning down.

When children draw, draft, plan, and document ideas, they slow their thinking down and this provides a wonderful intersection for an educator to notice, question, refine, and revisit their ideas collaboratively.

This process:
• creates space for deeper thinking
• supports experimentation and revision
• documents learning over time (leaving valuable traces
• strengthens metacognition and self-awareness

Design invites children to see their ideas on other forms and for these to be valuable, revisable, and worthy of reflection. Thanks Ruby and team from for sharing and engaging in this wonderful practice.

What a beautiful invitation to engage with inquiry and to invite families to enter that conversation … to notice what’s in our everyday with such rich possibilities for thinking and learning

Wowser - what a remarkable professional learning day recently with our long-term clients at Advance Early Learning!

This year, we’ve been diving deeply into how we integrate the arts into everyday practice with children. A big part of this work is about educators first EXPERIENCING different mediums themselves -exploring possibilities, making connections, and designing meaningful contexts for ongoing inquiry projects with children.

With over 120 educators engaged across 3 sites, Ellen, Britt and I had the absolute privilege of coordinating this day alongside the incredible educational leaders, directors and art teachers. Together, we explored the power of intentionality, relationship-building with materials, and what it really means to create rich, responsive learning environments.

Our focus for the morning was clay - exploring different types of clay, the elements and language of clay, conceptual possibilities, and a range of techniques. There was such thoughtful discussion, curiosity and creativity throughout the day 🙌

A huge thank you to for your enthusiastic participation and thoughtful collaboration during our environment day.

Gratitude to for the inspirational material on clay that supported and extended our thinking 💛

Exploring the role of the environment through our design model called ‘think small’ - where we generate a space of research and investigation, narrow our focus and questions and invite dialogue. Working alongside teams and educational leaders we build our capacity to notice the important interconnection between our proposal for learning, the context we curate, the time and questions we engage and how we might listen and catch meaning making throughout - this is such a complex set of skills. We practice and continually reflect on the nuances that arise along the way and SLOWLY over time it becomes second nature! Thanks for such an engaging day and partnership as we explore ideas for curriculum.

Have you ever been suggested to just, ‘give more feedback’?
Sounds simple, right? But it’s not.
Because feedback is never just about the feedback itself.
Hard conversations are not something to avoid or “handle.” They are learning spaces - moments where trust, identity, and power are shaped in real time.

In our upcoming ‘brave conversations’ online series and dive into more of these nuances as leaders of change.
The course focuses on building the practice of courageous conversation: staying in dialogue when things feel uncomfortable, engaging differences with care, and holding tension without slipping into silence, control, or tokenistic harmony.

If this sounds like a conversation that you want to be a part of, find your tickets on our website via the link in bio.
