We couldn’t be more proud of the teams that represented Monbulk Primary School at the Kids in Space competition today. Even though we didn’t win this year, the students gave it their all! They should be proud of their hard work.

We’re excited to launch our new SWPBS Rewards System at Monbulk Primary School this Term!

Our students are being recognised for showing our school values every day:

When staff spot these positive behaviours in action, students earn tally marks that contribute towards class rewards and celebrations. 🎉

It’s all about noticing the good, celebrating positive choices and helping our students understand what our values look like in action.

And the best part? When a class reaches 100 positive behaviours in one of our values .. together they receive a leaf to add on our “Together We Grow” whole school reward tree! 🌱🌳

Keep an eye out – you might hear your child proudly tell you which value they were recognised for! 💚

Once our tree is filled, we will celebrate with a whole school reward 😊

🚀 We are excited to announce that Monbulk Primary School has been selected as one of only 30 schools across Australia to participate in the Kids in Space competition!
Our Grade 3–6 STEM students will be designing innovative space solutions using STEM skills, 3D design and printing technologies. Please see Compass or the Monny Mag for more details. 🚀

As you may remember, our school was shortlisted for the second year in a row in the ResourceSmart School of the Year category. These prestigious awards are judged and presented annually by Sustainability Victoria at the MCG. While we were disappointed not to take home the award this year, we are incredibly proud of our achievements and remain committed to our sustainability initiatives. This recognition celebrates the hard work and dedication of our Sustainability Team, staff and students, as well as the ongoing support of our school families and community groups who partner with us to bring our environmental actions and initiatives to life. With our continued efforts, we hope to once again be in contention next year.

Mrs Lamport, Ms Tan Sing, our Sustainability Captains, Em and Emmett, along with Sustainability Team members William and Alice, proudly represented our school at the awards ceremony. Keep an eye out for a report from our sustainability students, who will be sharing highlights from this inspiring and memorable day.
