I got an unusually urgent call and text from writer Ryan F. Mandelbaum just two days ago requesting whether I could cook some for a feature in Lifehacker. The urgency was because the deadline was for the following night! So, I alter my plans, assess what I have in my pantry and fridge, think about what dishes I could make, and prepared these delectable dishes (and photos). As you can see, we met the deadline!

I have more photos and the step-by-step for the more elaborate dishes which I will share in the coming days.
