We’re feeling very proud of our Deakin students at the Winter Olympics. ❄️🇦🇺

Four Deakin students have taken part in Milano Cortina 2026, with moguls champion Jakara Anthony leading Australia into the Opening Ceremony as a flag bearer. The group includes two business students and two students from other faculties, all balancing their degrees with life as elite athletes.

Deakin’s Elite Athlete Program has helped them find the flexibility they need to study and compete, and they’ve done the rest through hard work and commitment. Get to know all four Olympians and their journeys here 👉
