Through Bush Kinder, children are encouraged to take safe risks, build confidence, develop independence and discover the world around them through hands-on experiences. Next week we will be celebrating insect week at our centre! The children across the centre will be encouraged to engage in a range of exciting activities were they can learn about insects such as exploring insect flash cards, collecting bugs with their educators that can be safely kept in the insect home and also looking for bugs using magnifying glasses and many more fun experiences!

Our chef has been with us for 12 years. We are so lucky to have such dedicated long standing staff who really value the families, children and each other making our community strong. Well done and big congratulations.

We also set up a fairy garden for our children to be excited to see what our faries are doing and explore through imagination.

Soccer skills were in full action today for our Kinder children. Gross motor and hand eye coordination is such a big developmental milestone. On the sidelines Kinder’s were cheering each other on, learning about turn taking and supportive play. Well done Kinder 🙌

Today in our Nursery Room, we created a sensory exploration space designed to encourage curiosity, discovery and independent learning. The children explored loose parts, natural materials, different textures and open-ended resources, supporting their sensory development, fine motor skills and growing confidence as they investigated the environment around them.

In the Toddler room this week the children enjoyed engaging in a range of art activities including making their own play dough and creating fun designs and shapes with the play dough. The children further developed their fine motor skills to practise using scissors to cut pictures from magazines.
Building their creativity and fundamental movement skills through engaging in these experiences.

The children in Pre Kinder room have been enjoying the new colourful building blocks that have been added to the construction area. The children have been building big towers and designs using their imagination, architects in the making!

We end the week with show casing our Pre Prep experience. All about loose part play, imagination, critical thinking, child voice and parent engagement with recycling and donating materials. Have a lovely long weekend.

This week in the Toddler room the children were encouraged to engage in an activity that explored recognising different colours. It was a colour sorting activity where the children used coloured tongs to pick up different coloured objects and placed them on the corresponding coloured card.
The children used their fine motor skills as well as their verbal skills through recognising the names of the colours.
