The Wood Project is a sawmill in Hastings on the Mornington Peninsula.
We are a family run business with 3 current employees looking for a 4th full time worker.
We salvage and mill logs for post & rail fencing kits and custom furniture - among other services and products.
This is a very busy hardworking environment, manual labour is required every day. You will learn a lot about timber and the right candidate will have the opportunity to grow with the business. Most, if not all, training is done on the job so please do not worry if you think you don't have the right experience - we are a niche business and will train you on all facets of the job - if you are hardworking and willing to learn you could be the right candidate.
Drivers licence - essential
Truck Licence - advantageous
Fork Lift Licence - advantageous
Experience with a chainsaw - advantageous
Ability to work in a small team - essential
