Our most recent science INcursion was held last Friday with a focus on sound and light. Primary students played with reflections, vibrations and distortions.

The art room is a busy place for our primary students. Lower primary have been dreaming up their imaginary worlds learning about aliens and fairytales, while upper primary have been playing with the elements of a great piece of art like shapes, lines, space and texture.

Happy science week to all! This year the theme is Seeds of Science: Nurturing knowledge for all. Thanks to our fantastic science teachers, and Melbourne University's Science Gallery for a fruitful ongoing partnership.

Last Monday our secondary students were invited to participate in Deaf Sports Recreation Victoria's multi-school deaf sports day. We took 30 students who showed their skills in handball, football, netball, basketball, fencing, and board games. Thanks for organising ; an invaluable social and competitive opportunity for our students!

Our VPC students love Food Studies! Each week, they choose and cook a healthy, balanced meal. Think Afghan shakshuka, spicy prawn curry with rice, omelettes and vegetarian pizza. Always delicious!

Last week our middle years students ventured to Parliament House! Many thanks to the staff and interpreters involved for making this such a success.

Last week we were visited by Deaf artist Luke D. King for the first in a series of workshops with our senior years media students. Our own also hosted a morning tea for our Dari speaking families, and got some entertainment from the primary students playing their new favourite game.
