🦷 A very special visitor at Jumbo!
We were delighted to welcome Tooth Fairy Elle from to Jumbo for a fun and engaging dental health incursion! 🪥✨
Through stories, songs, conversations and hands-on learning, our children explored how to care for their teeth, the importance of regular brushing and the everyday choices that help keep our smiles healthy and strong.
Incursions like this give children the opportunity to ask questions and build confidence around important health and self-care routines in a positive and age-appropriate way.
A big thank you to Tooth Fairy Elle for visiting us and helping make dental health education so much fun! 🩵🦷

Children’s voices belong at the heart of their learning. 💬

Our Kinder children have been exploring how we can safely move between our indoor and outdoor environments. Using our chalkboard, the children drew and documented their own ideas about what safe transitions look like - sharing their knowledge, experiences and understanding with one another.

By inviting children to actively contribute to conversations and decisions about their everyday routines, we recognise them as capable participants in their own learning and safety. Their drawings provide a visible record of their voices, giving them ownership over the expectations that guide their day.

At Jumbo, we believe children have the right to be heard, to participate and to have a genuine say in matters that affect them. Creating meaningful opportunities for children to contribute to their environment is an important part of our commitment to leading practice that supports children’s rights, agency and participation. 🩵

On Tuesday our Mini and Mezzo children enjoyed a visit to our local Library at the Dock, exploring the shelves, discovering new stories and sharing books together. 💗

At Jumbo, we believe a love of reading begins from the very earliest years. Even before children can read independently, sharing books helps build their language and communication skills, introduces new words and ideas, and encourages imagination, curiosity and a lifelong enjoyment of stories. 📖✨

Visits to our local library also give our youngest Jumbo friends the opportunity to explore books beyond the classroom while building their connection with the wider community. 🌱
