What a beautiful and special day for our St John’s community as we celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation with our Year 6 students. 🕊️💛

A heartfelt thank you to Father Maurie and Bishop Les for making today’s Mass such a meaningful and memorable celebration for our children and their families.

Our Year 6 students were absolutely amazing, and we could not be prouder of the reverence, maturity and joy they showed throughout this important step in their faith journey.

Congratulations to all of our Confirmation candidates. May the Holy Spirit continue to guide and strengthen you as you grow in faith, love and service. ✨🙏

📚Book Week is here at St John’s! 📚

We’re excited to celebrate the magic of books, stories and imagination! Don’t forget our Book Week Dress-Up Day this Monday, with our Book Parade at 9am in the Coghlan Centre.

Families are warmly invited to come along, enjoy the fun and see our wonderful characters come to life! 💙💛

This Saturday at 11am, our Year 6 students will celebrate the beautiful Sacrament of Confirmation. 🕊️

🌟 EXCITING TOURNAMENT OF MINDS NEWS! 🌟

Since our last post celebrating our amazing St John’s Top Taters, we’ve received some very exciting news!

Our team achieved FIRST PLACE at the Metro Central/Northern Regional Finals of the Tournament of Minds! 🏆🎉

This fantastic achievement means they are now through to the State Finals at Deakin University on Sunday 13 September!

We are incredibly proud of our students and all the hard work, creativity, teamwork and problem-solving that has gone into this achievement.

A huge congratulations to our Top Taters, and to Ange and Mel for all their wonderful support and guidance. 💙💛

A huge congratulations to our amazing Tournament of Minds (TOM) team on a fantastic effort on Saturday! 🌟👏

Our students have worked incredibly hard over the past few weeks, preparing, problem-solving and working together as a team. Tournament of Minds challenges students to think creatively, collaborate, communicate and develop innovative solutions - and we are so proud of the way our students embraced the challenge.

A very big thank you to Ange and Mel for all the time, encouragement and support they gave our team to make sure they were ready to shine on the day.

We caught a little glimpse of some of our gorgeous 2027 Preps on Friday when they joined us for a special Storytime session! 📚💛

It was wonderful to welcome them to St John’s and see their smiling faces. We can’t wait to have them join our school community next year! 💙

There were plenty of laughs, fun and games, and it was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the night together. A special thank you to everyone who helped organise, set up and make the evening such a success.

🦸 National Week of Action Against Bullying 🦸‍♀️

This week, St John’s will proudly take part in the National Week of Action Against Bullying, reminding our students that we all have a role to play in creating a safe, kind and inclusive community. 💙

On Monday, our Year 3–6 students will participate in Australia’s Largest Anti-Bullying Lesson, exploring practical ways to recognise, prevent and respond to bullying.

Then on Tuesday, it’s our Superhero Dress-Up Day! 🦸‍♂️
Students are invited to dress as their favourite superhero to reinforce the message that not all superheroes wear capes. Every one of us has the inner power to help stop bullying through everyday choices - showing kindness, including others, speaking up and standing beside someone who needs support.

Because sometimes the greatest superpower is simply choosing kindness.

The Theme is '90s', so dress in your best 90s outfit and join in the fun for lots of laughter, games, questions, dancing and more.

Grab your friends and arrange a table of 10, or just book tickets and we can add you to a table in your child's Year Level.
