When Tilly (year 5) and Will (year 9) couldn't track down our Principal Chrissy Gamble, they stepped in to deliver an important update themselves... and we think they did an awesome job!
Earlier this year, students from Junior and Secondary School took part in feedback sessions to help shape our new formal uniform. They reviewed designs, shared ideas, debated stripes, discussed pockets (RIP pocket 🫡) and helped guide the final decisions.
The new formal wardrobe options will include:
✨ Jacket
✨ Skirt
✨ Trousers
✨ Tailored shorts
✨ White T-shirt options
✨ Wide-leg track pants
One thing was clear throughout the process: our students had plenty of opinions, and every piece of feedback was considered.
We're excited to see the new formal wardrobe become part of College life and grateful to the students who helped shape its future.

Our Years 11 and 12 students recently had the opportunity to hear from two accomplished Kingswood College alumni who shared valuable insights into life beyond school.
Emily (class of 2024) spoke about her journey from VCE to university, offering practical tips for success, advice on making the most of university open days, and reflections on opportunities she has embraced since graduating, including student exchange programs.
Students also heard from Dieter Brand (Class of 2016 & former College Captain), who shared his experiences navigating university, employment and career pathways. His message highlighted the importance of remaining open-minded and flexible when making decisions about the future.
We are grateful to Emily and Dieter for taking the time to support and inspire our senior students as they prepare for the next stage of their educational journeys.

This term, Junior School students have a wonderful range of SEEK opportunities designed to challenge, inspire and develop their individual strengths.
From the Australian Mathematics Competition and ICAS English to ICAS Science, students will have the opportunity to apply their learning in new and exciting ways. Participants in the Premier's Spelling Bee will strengthen their vocabulary and confidence, while Northern Star Chess competitors will sharpen their strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Students taking part in the Ethics Olympiad will explore real-world dilemmas, learning how to think critically, communicate respectfully and consider multiple perspectives.
These experiences encourage curiosity, perseverance and a love of learning while providing opportunities for students to pursue their passions beyond the classroom.
We look forward to celebrating our students' efforts and achievements throughout the term.

During the term break, Year 11 student Charlotte attended the prestigious ANZAAS Youth Science Camp, joining students from across Australia and New Zealand for a week of immersive scientific discovery.
From exploring the University of Melbourne Anatomy Museum to touring the Australian Synchrotron, Charlotte experienced firsthand the world of scientific research and innovation.
Beyond the extraordinary learning opportunities, the camp also fostered new friendships, collaboration and unforgettable memories.
We're incredibly proud of Charlotte for embracing this opportunity and representing Kingswood College so wonderfully.

Community in action
Our school community has once again shown the power of kindness and service. Together, we raised just under $1,000 for UNICEF, helping support children around the world, and collected a carload of donations for the RSPCA Op Shop in Burwood.
Thank you to every student, family and staff member who contributed. Small acts of generosity can make a meaningful difference.

Supporting our athletes beyond the classroom
At Kingswood College, we believe talented young athletes deserve support that matches their commitment, ambition and potential.
That is why we created the Athlete Development Program (ADP), a specialised opportunity available to selected Secondary School students who are pursuing excellence in their chosen sport while remaining committed to their academic progress.
Since commencing in Term 1, the program has provided students with access to expert strength and conditioning support, education around recovery and nutrition, injury prevention strategies, and individualised athletic development. Students are guided through progressive programs designed to help them maximise performance safely and effectively.
What makes the ADP special is that it reflects our commitment to developing the whole student. Participation is not simply about sporting ability. It is about dedication, character, work ethic and a commitment to achieving personal bests both on the sporting field and in the classroom.
Opportunities like this help set a Kingswood education apart.

Inspiring insights from a leading economics expert 📈
Our Year 12 Economics students recently had the privilege of welcoming Romeo Salla, former VCAA Chief Assessor for Economics, for an engaging and insightful Q&A session.
As a respected VCE author, educator and former Commonwealth Treasury economist, Romeo shared valuable exam advice, industry knowledge and practical strategies to help students maximise their success in VCE Economics.
Opportunities like these enrich learning beyond the classroom and provide students with direct access to experts who inspire confidence and curiosity in their chosen subjects.

What an incredible evening.
Last night, more than 150 parents and students registered to join us for our Scholarship Information Evening, and the energy in the room was remarkable.
Families heard from our Principal Chrissy Gamble, our Deputy Principal Georgie Jones, members of our leadership team, and most importantly, our students, who generously shared their experiences of life at Kingswood College.
While scholarships were the focus of the evening, the conversations extended far beyond applications and pathways.
We explored what it means to be part of a school community built on kindness, courage, respect, perseverance, and excellence, and how these values shape the opportunities available to every student.
Guests learned about:
✨ Academic, Choral, Instrumental, Visual Arts and Wyvernian Young Women Scholarships
✨ Our Gifted & Talented Programme
✨ Flexible learning opportunities
✨ Student leadership and co-curricular experiences
✨ The many ways students can contribute to and shape our community
One of the highlights of the evening was hearing directly from students and staff involved in all aspects of the school, from leadership, music and visual arts to academic extension, performing arts and more, providing authentic insight into the opportunities available at Kingswood.
Thank you to everyone who attended, asked thoughtful questions and stayed afterwards to connect with our staff and student ambassadors. The positive feedback we received reinforced what makes Kingswood such a special place.
