Our Secondary School Chemistry students recently participated in an engaging workshop at the University of Melbourne, where they explored organic chemistry through hands-on investigation.

Working with advanced analytical techniques such as infrared spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance, students analysed data, identified unknown compounds and developed their own evidence-based conclusions.

These experiences offer valuable insight into real-world scientific practice and inspire students as they consider future pathways in science and research.

This week, our Year 6 students have been bringing their learning to life through class parliaments, following their recent visit to Canberra.

Each student created and presented their own bill, with topics including student wellbeing, music enrichment, outdoor art and language learning. They then engaged in thoughtful debate - sharing ideas, questioning perspectives and proposing amendments.

It has been wonderful to see students deepen their understanding of democracy while building confidence in public speaking, collaboration and critical thinking.

We are delighted to share the achievements of Year 7 student Issac, who was invited to exhibit his artwork at the UWEE Louvre International Art Exhibition in Paris in April 2026.

Issac has been recognised with numerous international Gold Awards across highly regarded competitions, with his works exhibited around the world, including at the Louvre.

His success reflects not only his dedication and creativity, but also the value of supporting students to pursue their passions and talents.

Recently, our Year 5 and 6 students participated in The National Trivia Challenge, achieving excellent results - four teams receiving a Credit and one team earning a High Distinction.

What made the experience especially meaningful was what students shared afterwards: the enjoyment of working collaboratively, solving problems as a team and discovering new knowledge.

At Kingswood College, learning is designed to inspire curiosity and connection at every stage.

Our senior students are completing the General Achievement Test (G*T) today, an important part of the VCE assessment process.

Alongside academic preparation, we prioritise wellbeing throughout the day. Students enjoyed a break between sessions with time outdoors and a BBQ lunch prepared by our teachers and staff, providing an opportunity to reset and refocus.

Grounded in our values of respect, kindness, courage and perseverance, students are supported to approach this milestone with confidence.

We wish all students the very best for the day.

As our Year 10 and 11 students approach their Semester one exam period, we’re proud to see the way our students support one another — sharing practical study strategies and encouraging positive habits.

Our Year 11 Student Representatives, along with their peers, have offered some thoughtful advice - have a look through these tips.

- Studying with clear purpose and direction
- Prioritising tasks and building manageable to-do lists
- Using practice questions and expert resources
- Creating flashcards and revision tools
- Asking teachers for support when needed

It’s wonderful to see students taking ownership of their learning and contributing to a culture where everyone can succeed.

We wish all our students the very best as they prepare — and know they are supported every step of the way.
