The countdown is on! This is your final opportunity to cement in your family's place in SJC history by sharing your all-time favorite recipe.

Food is more than just a meal, it is a story, a shared memory, and a beautiful way to bring our community together! We are building something truly special, and we want your family to be a part of it.

This year's PA Annual Dinner Dance in honour of our beloved Panagia and the wonderful Danielle Traintafiliou who is no longer with us. She was a former Parent Association President

Panagia, our spiritual mother and a shining role model of selflessness and love, embodies the true essence of a mother figure.

Danielle exemplified these same virtues through her dedication and sacrifices, not only as a mother to her family but also as a nurturing and committed presence at St. John's College. Her legacy continues to inspire us all.

A big thank you to our PA Bearers for their amazing efforts in making this event a memorable and unified gathering for our community. What an amazing night!

Dear SJC Community,

At St John's, we know that some of life's most treasured memories are made around the table.

Food has a unique way of bringing people together. It connects generations, preserves traditions, tells stories of where we come from, and is often one of the most meaningful ways we show love to those around us.

This year, The Parents Association are excited to create a St John's Family Recipe Book.

A collection of cherished family recipes, treasured memories, photographs, and stories from our school community.

We invite every family to contribute a recipe that holds special meaning. Perhaps it's your Yiayia's famous kourabiedes, a favourite family meal, a recipe passed down through generations, or simply a dish that reminds you of home or a loved relative.

Along with your recipe, we'd love to hear the story behind it. Tell us who the recipe belongs to, why it is special to your family, and any memories connected to it. If you have a photograph of the dish or the person who shared the recipe, we'd love to include that too.

Together, we can create a beautiful keepsake that celebrates the rich cultures, traditions, and stories that make our St John's community so special.

To contribute, please submit:
• Your family recipe (ingredients and method)
• Who the recipe is from
• The story behind the recipe
• A photo of the dish or family member (if available)
• Student name and year level

Recipes can be emailed to [email protected] or returned to Reception using the attached recipe card.

Submissions close Friday 31 July 2026.

The completed recipe book will be available for purchase at the end of Term 3, with all proceeds supporting our fantastic Parents Association.

We look forward to sharing and preserving these special family traditions together.
