Come along as we open our doors—both in person and online—to anyone interested in experiencing life at RTC.

You will have the opportunity to take part in devotions, attend classes, join a special session on studying at RTC, and engage in conversations with lecturers and students over lunch.

Book review 📚 Apply the Word: A Practical Guide to Preaching with Application (Richard Coekin).

By Dr. Murray Capill, Dean of Ministry Development and Lecturer in Pastoral Ministry.

Books on application in preaching are surprisingly rare.

Given that the central task of every preacher is to apply the word of God to those they preach to, one might think there would be more help in application, matching the vast number of resources to aid them in exegesis, biblical theology and homiletics.

So this book by Richard Coekin is a very welcome addition to the preacher’s bookshelf.

The Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches (FIEC) is a fast-growing network of Reformed-Evangelical churches spread across Australia. At RTC, we are so encouraged by their commitment to share the gospel through church planting and faithful shepherding. We are also very encouraged by the fact that more than half of the FIEC churches in Victoria are currently sending students to study with us to be prepared for ministry. So, it was a real joy and privilege to welcome Roger and Carolyn Burgess to our Community Time yesterday. Roger is about to step into the role of FIEC National Director. We were grateful to hear him open God's Word and to learn more about the work of FIEC. Praise the Lord for partnership in the gospel!

RTC has a Student Fellowship Committee!

The SFC contributes to the RTC by:

a) Encouraging and creating student initiatives to present to faculty on any matters that would enhance the College community or the student’s learning experience so that student time at the RTC is the most positive preparation possible for future ministry;

b) Enhancing the College community by creating means where students serve and enjoy one another as they share their lives so as to be equipped with strong friendships which will support gospel ministries long into the future.

Keep an eye out for SFC initiatives this semester! Or speak with Alan if you have ideas or questions.
