On Monday, we hosted the Pathways to Prevention Forum at UCity in Adelaide.
The room came together with such generosity. Prevention educators, sector leaders, community organisations, government, and people who have lived experience of what we are working to prevent. You listened to each other. You asked the hard questions. You stayed in the conversation when it got real.
Thank you for being there.

Shout out to Gavin at Hills to Adelaide Photography for the wonderful photos!
We are putting together a fuller reflection on what the sector shared with us, and we will be sharing that soon.
Every child in mind, no postcode left behind.

We’re excited to announce the four panel topics for Pathways to Prevention, a full‑day forum dedicated to strengthening primary prevention across South Australia.
Our panels will explore:
• Every Child in Mind - formalising prevention education through Respectful Relationships, body safety and eSafety
• Designing for Strength and Sustainability - insights from First Nations, LGBTIQA+, multicultural, disability and regional communities
• When Prevention Becomes Response - navigating the overlap between prevention, intervention and recovery
• Pathways to Prevention - the future of prevention and the partnerships needed to end domestic, family and sexual violence
This forum brings together diverse expertise to consider what’s working, what’s emerging, and what’s needed next.

Why this forum, why now?
South Australia's Royal Commission into Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence has called for a coordinated statewide prevention strategy. The SA Government has responded with a $674 million, 10-year commitment.
As that strategy is being designed, the Pathways to Prevention Forum creates a platform for the prevention sector to have its voice heard, its work made visible, and its insights documented.
If your work helps build safer communities across South Australia, this is the room you want to be in.
Monday 11 May, UCity, Adelaide. Free to attend.
Registrations close Monday 27 April, link to register here: https://events.humanitix.com/body-safety-australia-pathways-to-prevention-writing-safer-stories-for-all-south-australian-communities
