The first wave of the 2025 Re:act Regional Road Safety campaigns has just launched across Australia.
Created by TAFE students in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia, the campaigns educate their 17-25 peers about the importance of always wearing a seatbelt, and wearing it correctly.
Thanks to the AAustralian Governments Office of Road Safety, which made taking Re:act into our regions possible through National Road Safety Action Grants Program funding, our Re:act Regional program partners and participating TAFEs, TTAFE Queensland(Nambour campus), BBendigo TAFE TTAFE NSW(Campbelltown & Kingscliff campus), The Gordon (Geelong) and SSouth Regional TAFE(Marget River campus).
And of course, to the students who created such insightful and creative campaigns – Maddy Walker and Samantha Mudford in Victoria, Holly Porter in NSW, Hana Miyawaki in Queensland and Adele Litt in WA.

We’re excited to launch our Metropolitan TAFE Re:act 2025 campaigns today.
The featured campaigns will be displayed nationwide on oOh!media’s digital out of home assets this month, reaching millions of Australians and raising awareness of seatbelt safety.
We want to thank our TAFE education partners, Chisholm Institute, TAFE NSW, TAFE Queensland, North Metropolitan TAFE (WA) and TAFE SA, and all the students who took part in Re:act 2025.

The findings of our Re:act Amplify 2025 Deep Dive report, on the topic of seatbelt safety, are in!
Key takeaways from this one-of-a-kind research with young people include:
🚘 There is a lack of knowledge of the importance of wearing seatbelts correctly and that incorrect use can reduce a seatbelt’s effectiveness in
a crash.
🚘 Campaigns designed to reach younger audiences must include social media and content needs to be authentic and ‘quick’.

We’re live with our annual Re:act Amplify Deep Dive sessions, led by and for young people around Australia.
Across Australia, from Melbourne to Perth to Brisbane, the Deep Dives are designed to give young Australians a voice and explore their behaviours, attitudes, and insights around road safety.
This year’s topic focuses on the importance of drivers and passengers wearing seatbelts and wearing them correctly, and on road safety campaigns that resonate with young road users!
