Sleepless Footscray, an after dark contemporary arts festival is returning from Saturday 4 May – Sunday 19 May.

Footscray will come alive as a playground of creativity and culture, with music echoing through alleyways and art installations adorning street corners and disused shop fronts.

Explore eclectic performances in repurposed venues, from indie gigs to avant-garde theatre, while discovering interactive art exhibits that challenge and inspire.

The West Footscray Festival of Colours is back on Saturday 16 March from 11am to 6pm.

Join us to celebrate the Indian Festival of Holi – best known for the joyous throwing of the colours.

There will also be family-friendly entertainment including rides, market stalls, craft activities, face painting, henna tattoos and live music.

This festival is proudly presented by the West Footscray Traders Association and supported by Council's Signature Festivals and Activations Grants Program.

The first of Maribyrnong’s Lunar New Year events kicks off this weekend. Join us to celebrate the coming Year of the Dragon.

Footscray Asian Business Association's annual East Meets West Lunar New Year Festival is on this Sunday from 11am – 9pm in Leeds Street and Byron Plaza, Footscray.

This free event features traditional and contemporary performances, lion and dragon dancing, street decorations, food and market stalls and children’s activities.
