I am very excited to share that I am now a certified

Vocal Habilitation Professional! The first, here in Victoria!

So, what does it mean? (Habilitation is not a common word we use here in Australia)
VHP ….. “is able to offer vocal habilitation to singers or voice users who are having voice problems, or who are moving on from vocal health rehabilitation. This pathway has an enhanced role as a singing teacher, incorporating extensive knowledge and training in vocal health, within the Biopsychosocial model” (2020, Williams & King, Vocal Health Education).
Vocal Health Education is an accredited education provider with NCFE and CACHE.

For the past 8-9 months, much of it in lockdown, I was able to delve more deeply into the world of vocal health using the Biopsychosocial model...Being a holistic teacher anyway, this model resonated beautifully with me. The course, which is through Vocal Health Education, UK is thorough, the lecturers and mentors are all experts in their field and the content is evidence based.
I particularly would like to thank Stephen King and Jenevora Williams for developing and realising this course. I feel very privileged and grateful for this wonderful opportunity and look forward to continue my studies with them in the future.

Whilst I’m here, I recently did an amazing 3-day workshop on Transgender Voice hosted by The Voice Lab. This was an enlightening and brilliant event.
