Today we had our usual playgroup at the play centre. In the afternoon, I provided the children with a tub of loose parts and art materials, allowing them to create whatever came to mind. The older children chose to make suns and clouds, while the younger children created muffins. The activity encouraged creativity, imagination, and self-expression as the children explored the materials in their own unique ways.☀️⛅️🌧️🌤️

Remembering Our Heroes….For ANZAC DAY, we read the story Lest We Forget to help the children understand the meaning of the day. They created poppies using red muffin liners and popsicle sticks, exploring creativity and symbolism. In the afternoon, we made traditional ANZAC biscuits, which the children enjoyed together for their snack.🍪🍪🍪

Today, we made delicious pizzas for afternoon tea. The children had fun helping prepare them. We made vegetarian pizzas with sauce and cheese, and ham pizzas for the non-vegetarian option. They all loved it.🍕🍕🍕

My mini chefs were busy today.Since it’s raining, we decided to bake rainbow cookies 🍪 to enjoy for our afternoon tea.🍪🍪🍪❤️

Today, the children engaged in a creative art activity by making a rainbow fish using recycled cereal boxes. Elly drew the outline of the fish, and the children carefully pasted different cuttings of coloured bond paper to create bright, rainbow like scales. Befofore starting the activity, “we read Commotion in the Ocean”, which inspired the children to choose and create their own rainbow fish.🐟 🐠
