Dental Health Activity for Dental Health Month!

In other Montessori Beginnings centres, children practiced brushing teeth using a dental model, confidently holding the toothbrush and mimicking cleaning motions. The activity supports their growing independence and understanding of self-care.

What is the Threading Activity in Montessori?

NAIDOC Week Activity: Dot Painting!

One of our activities during NAIDOC Week Aboriginal is an art activity, using cotton tips to dot paint shapes inspired by Aboriginal culture.

This exploration encouraged cultural awareness and a connection to Australia’s First Nations people through thoughtful and interactive learning.

World Cup Learning Experience: Football Action!

Our children at Montessori Beginnings participated in a group learning experience where they learned fun facts about the World Cup and played football. They enjoyed learning to pass the ball around and participated in cone drills, and were very eager to participate while showing curiosity about the sport.

Exploring football movements and poses provided opportunities to develop their understanding of physical activities as well as strengthening their understanding of the world around them.

What are the Montessori Nesting Boxes?

The Montessori Nesting Boxes are made out of boxes of different sizes that fit together. They can be used in Montessori to explain abstract concepts and build a variety of developmental skills, such as visual discrimination, concentration, hand-eye coordination, and understanding of size relationships.
