This week our school turned rainbow bright in support of IDAHOBIT Day 🌈
Our incredible staff and students proudly stepped out in colour and took on the “Cat Walk of Colour” to celebrate inclusion, acceptance, and the importance of standing against discrimination.
It was amazing to see our school community come together to show that everyone deserves to feel safe, valued, and respected for exactly who they are.

On Tuesday, Y Community School were very excited to receive a $5,000 donation to support student wellbeing, as part of the Walk A Mile In My Shoes (WAMIMS) initiative.
WAMIMS is a TreeHaus community development project, focused on improving mental health outcomes for young people by supporting schools with meaningful wellbeing programs.
TreeHaus is an allied health clinic supporting individuals, families and communities across Victoria and Australia. Support is available both in person and online, ensuring access to care when it is needed.
Through the WAMIMS community, $160,000 was raised at last year’s gala dinner. These funds are being distributed to schools across Australia to help develop wellbeing retreats and initiatives that create safe, supportive spaces for students.
The school will be using these funds to enhance our classroom and wellbeing spaces in alignment our THRIVE framework and are very excited to share the new spaces with you
Thankyou to the WAMIMS community for this generous donation.
