Here’s a repost on a creature I worked on way back when, while working at Creature Tech. There was an inflatable texture on the dragon that gave an amazing volcanic look that could also be backlit to help give emotion to the character which looked Ike lava.

Move over Daenerys Targaryean, Red Death is the real Mother of Dragons! This fearsome behemoth appeared in the How to Train Your Dragon Live Spectacular back in 2012 and is still the largest head ever made by CTC (so far)!

Origins story - Part 2

Origins story - I came across an drawing of the very first inflatable I made way back in 2001. Made for Pride NYE “Superheroes” party at the Hordern Pavilion- Syd. Showgrounds. Way back before digital design was used. My concept sketch drawn in pencil, it’s been a while since I’ve used those for my conceptual drawings.
