Sensory play is not just for fun!

It encourages young children to explore and investigate.
Sensory play and Sensory art therapy can also help build nerve connections in the brain and encourage the development of fine motor skills.

Our Growling Grass Frog children were engaged in a meaningful experience with water beads this week.
Using a range of resources, our little learners were able to build upon their fine motor and hand eye coordination skills.

🦕🦖Dinosaur chia seed slime sensory play🦖🦕

ROOOOAR!!! Our Kinder children are currently immersed in all things Dinosaurs! Today the Blue Tongue Lizard educators created a swamp with taste-safe chia seed slime.

Using multi-sensory play experiences can assist children in exploring the world with more than one of their senses. When children are provided experiences to encourage touch and smell during play, they have more opportunities to develop their social, emotional, fine motor, language and memory skills.
