This week, our Gumnut children have been engaging in a variety of sensory play experiences, exploring different textures, colours, and materials through hands on discovery. Sensory play encourages curiosity, supports cognitive development and strengthens fine motor skills while providing opportunities for problem solving and language development.

πŸ‘΅πŸ’› Another Incredible Visit with Our Granfriends at Village Baxter πŸ’›πŸ‘΅

Today our kindergarten children enjoyed another wonderful visit with their Granfriends at Village Baxter.

Together, we participated in a range of fun games and activities designed to encourage movement, connection, and lots of smiles. The children thoughtfully supported their Granfriends as they moved between activity stations, taking care to walk slowly alongside them and ensuring they had their walkers or walking sticks when needed.

These intergenerational experiences provide meaningful opportunities for children to develop empathy, patience, and respect while building genuine friendships across generations. Our Granfriends enjoyed getting up on their feet, having fun, and sharing special moments with the children throughout the morning.

We are so grateful for these beautiful connections and the joy they bring to everyone involved. 🌟

🌿🦘 Bush Kinder at The Briars 🦘🌿
What’s that in the bushes? πŸ‘€
The rainy weather set up the perfect day for a walk through the bush at The Briars, where our kindergarten children immersed themselves in nature and explored the beautiful environment around them.
Can you see what we see? Today we were lucky enough to spot 2 emu and a mob of kangaroos as we ventured along the tracks πŸŒ§οΈπŸƒ
These moments in nature spark curiosity, encourage observation, and help children build a deep connection with the land and wildlife around them. There was so much excitement as the children quietly watched the animals in their natural habitat and shared their discoveries with one another πŸ’›
Bush Kinder adventures truly are magical.

This afternoon, we hosted our biggest afternoon tea to raise funds for the Cancer Council. The event brought everyone together for a wonderful cause and filled the centre with excitement, teamwork, and the delicious smell of fresh baking. Each room was busy preparing a variety of tasty treats, including scones, gingerbread, and honey joys, with everyone contributing their own special touch.
