🎼🥁MUSIC INCURSION! 🥁🎼

We were so excited to welcome back Jo the Music Man for another fun-filled incursion! Jo has been visiting our centre for many years, and we absolutely love having him. His passion for music and incredible ability to engage and involve the children always makes his visits so special. This time, Jo brought along a collection of unique drums from around the world, giving the children the chance to explore different sounds and rhythms. Everyone had the best time making music together — thank you, Jo, for sharing your energy, knowledge, and love of music with us once again!

💙🩵 BLUE RIBBON DAY 🩵💙

For Blue Ribbon Day, our centre was proud to gift a special hamper to the Knox Police Station as a token of appreciation for all the incredible work they do in keeping our community safe. A huge thank you to our wonderful director, Ingrid, for organising this, and to all our generous families who contributed donations—your kindness helped fill the hamper with treats and goodies the officers can enjoy in their staff room. Together, we were able to give back and show our gratitude in a meaningful way.

🦒 HEALTHY HAROLD INCURSION!🦒
✨ BODY BOUNDARIES ✨

Yesterday, we had a Life Ed incursion with Healthy Harold, and it was a fun and important learning experience! The session focused on understanding body boundaries, using the correct language for body anatomy, and identifying safe people we can trust. We learned about how every person has the right to feel safe and how to speak up if something doesn’t feel right.

Healthy Harold also helped us explore different types of feelings and how to express them in a healthy way. Through stories, discussions, and interactive activities, students were encouraged to respect their own bodies and the bodies of others, and to understand the importance of consent and personal space. It was a valuable session that supported both emotional and physical wellbeing in a safe and age-appropriate way

🌱 CHILD PROTECTION WEEK 🌱
During the week, our Kinder children have been learning about Body Boundaries and exploring strategies for what they can do if they don’t feel safe. One of the activities they enjoyed was creating their own “Safe Hands” artwork, where each child identified trusted people they can turn to for help.
At group time, we have also been sharing the story My Body, My Rules—a fun and empowering picture book that introduces children to the concepts of consent and positive body boundaries in an age-appropriate way.
To continue these important conversations at home, every child in our Kinder Programs will receive their own copy of the book to read and share with their family.
