A colourful flashback to Goodstart Mont Albert's Holi celebration last week, where our vibrant team came together to share joy, laughter, and a little playful spirit.

Moments like these reflect the strong, positive connections that help create a warm and engaging environment for the children in our care. Can't wait for our next big celebration!

On day 2 of 🧡HARMONY WEEK🧡 our children had a special cultural experience! One of our teachers arrived in a traditional Hanfu, capturing everyone’s attention with its elegant style. She shared stories from ancient China and introduced her beautiful outfit and accessories.

Our student teacher also joined in, wearing a modern Qipao, sparking curiosity and discussion about how Chinese fashion has evolved over time. The children were fascinated to learn how clothing reflects changes in culture and women’s choices through history.

To finish, the children were introduced to pictures of a variety of traditional Chinese foods, learning their names in Mandarin and excitedly sharing their own experiences of enjoying these dishes with family members. Such a fun and engaging day of cultural discovery!

Here's one of our babies creating a beautiful circular artwork symbolising unity and connection. Painting with vibrant orange—the official colour of Harmony Week— we're celebrating mutual respect, and the warmth that comes from coming together.

Today our playground was transformed into a living, dancing, laughing canvas as the children celebrated Holi - the Festival of Colours!

Our party kicked off with a short introduction by one of our educators who has a close personal connection to the ancient Hindu festival before the children embraced the chance to play, experiment, dance and connect!

It was such a joyful morning celebrating friendship, new beginnings, and the importance of community 💛 If you think this looks messy - wait til you see the happy snaps of our educators - coming soon... 😅

🎶🎵This year Goodstart Mont Albert is so excited about our MAGICAL DAYS KINDY DANCING incursions! The children have been loving the themed interactive musical sessions. This time they sang about rainbows and transformed into adorable little butterflies! 🦋

Celebrating Biderup 🌿☀️

Our children explored their understanding of Biderup, one of the seven seasons of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation calendar — a time of hot weather, dry land, flowering manna gums and female brown butterflies. 🦋

Through art, we reflect on the changing seasons and our commitment to reconciliation, showing care and respect for the land on which we learn and play. 💛
