A huge thanks to our friends at Ballarat Tech School and Frankston Tech School for road tripping to the Yarra Ranges for our Shared Learning Day earlier this week.

It was fantastic to share innovative ideas and programs, build new connections, learn lots and spend time getting to know each other better. We’re already looking forward to our next adventures together later this year!

Girls in STEM Day at YRTS – What an Inspiring Success!
In celebration of International Women’s Day, we were thrilled to welcome students from around the Yarra Ranges for an inspiring and hands‑on day of STEM exploration.

Students participated in exciting workshops, each led by amazing women who are making real impact in their fields:
🤖 Exploring AI in STEM with Dr Roisin McNaney (Digital Health Research) and Dr Melanie McGrath (Responsible Innovation Specialist)
🚗 Crash Cars Engineering with Tara, Ciara and Julie from RMIT Outreach
🛠️ Coding with Spike Prime with Elizabeth and Elisa from Robogals
The enthusiasm, curiosity and confidence on display were inspiring. Days like this remind us how powerful it is to give young women opportunities to experiment, create and see themselves reflected in STEM.

A huge thank you to all our presenters and to every student who jumped in with energy and courage. The future of STEM is bright!
