We’re often asked what being not-for-profit really means for our families.

Simply put, it means that our purpose always comes before profit. Every dollar we make is reinvested back into our centres, to provide children with enriching and safe learning environments.

We understand how important it is for children to be in a place where they feel safe and settled. And when families need to make a change - planned or unexpected - we’re here to help make that transition easier.

We’re here to support families when it matters most – because every child deserves a Goodstart! ✨

Our learning journey began with the story How the Birds Got Their Colours, chosen by the children, which sparked curiosity about birds, colours, and the natural world. Through hands-on play, children explored this interest by creating bird collages using feathers, leaves, and natural materials, engaging in storytelling with loose parts, and building their own bird nests. Throughout the project, children developed early skills in exploring textures and colours, recognising birds and story elements, and beginning to express ideas through play. This experience supported early STEM learning, with science through exploring nature, technology through using tools like glue, engineering through building nests, and mathematics through sorting and matching. As 2-year-olds, children are still developing communication and problem-solving skills, and this project provided meaningful opportunities to build these through creativity, sensory exploration, and play-based learning.

Our team leading by example 💛

Today, our educators took an important step in protecting not only themselves, but the children and families in our care by receiving their flu vaccinations.

Moments like this reflect the care, commitment, and responsibility our team shows every single day. Creating a safe and healthy environment is at the heart of everything we do.

As we move into flu season, we continue to prioritise the wellbeing of our whole community through strong hygiene practices and proactive health choices.

Thank you to our incredible team for always putting our little learners first 🌼

Our Nursery room has been filled with joy and creativity as our little learners explored Easter through a beautiful, sensory-rich display.

The educators thoughtfully created a calm and inviting space where children could engage with soft textures, gentle colours, and familiar symbols of Easter. The highlight was our adorable Easter cards, where each child’s photo was lovingly included, creating a special keepsake for families to treasure.

Throughout the experience, children explored, touched, and observed their surroundings, supporting their curiosity and sense of wonder. These moments also encouraged early communication, connection, and a strong sense of belonging within the room.

We are so proud of the care and thought our Nursery team put into creating meaningful experiences for our youngest children, and we hope our families enjoy these special Easter memories as much as we do.

Our Four-Year-Old Kindergarten children recently had the opportunity to take part in the Responsible Pet Ownership (RPO) program, and it was such a meaningful and engaging experience for them.

The children were absolutely captivated throughout the session, especially when meeting the trained dog. This real-life interaction supported their understanding in a way that was hands-on, memorable, and developmentally appropriate. They were eager to participate, ask questions, and share their own experiences about pets at home.

Through the visit, the children learned how to recognise a dog’s body language, how to safely approach and interact with dogs, and the importance of being calm, gentle, and respectful. They also explored what it means to care for animals responsibly, including understanding that pets need love, safety, and supervision just like we do.

What stood out most was how confidently the children began to demonstrate their learning. They practiced safe approaches, used calm voices, and showed a growing awareness of how their actions can impact animals. These are such important life skills that support both their safety and their empathy towards others.

This experience also sparked rich conversations within the room, with children reflecting on their own pets and how they can help care for them at home. It was wonderful to see their sense of responsibility and compassion continue beyond the session.

We are so proud of how engaged and respectful our kindergarten children were, and how they embraced this learning opportunity. Experiences like this support children to become confident, capable, and caring members of their community.
