๐ชฅ SPECIAL VISITOR ๐ชฅ
We were very lucky to have one of our parent who is also a dentist, to visit our Classroom 5 to share her knowledge about Dental Hygiene.
Thank you so much Geetha! Your contribution has helped make our learning experience meaningful and fun!

As part of National Reconciliation Week at Aspen, our Kindergarten team has created a Reconciliation Tree that stands proudly within our learning space as a living symbol of unity, respect, belonging, and cultural connection.
Its branches reach outward like shared stories, holding the voices, ideas, and wonderings of the children. Its leaves shimmer with colour and creativity, each one reflecting learning experiences inspired by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. Its roots run deep, grounding us in respect for Country, community, and connection to one another.
We were trilled to welcome a special visitor who shared knowledge about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, traditions, music and storytelling. The children were fascinated as they listened to the beautiful sounds of the didgeridoo being played under our Reconciliation Tree, creating a calm and reflective atmosphere for everyone.
During the session, the children learnt about the importance of connection to Country, traditional practices, and cultural expression. One of the most exciting discoveries was learning about ochre which was a traditional natural skin care and body paint used by Aboriginal peoples for over 40,000 years. The children explored how ochre can be used for exfoliating and hydrating the skin and were excited to respectfully experience applying it themselves. It was a wonderful hands-on learning opportunity that encouraged curiosity, respect, and cultural appreciation.

LUNA ROO - National Simultaneous Storytime๐
Yesterday we celebrated National Simultaneous Storytime by reading Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller by Adam Jackson and Adrian Lloyd ๐ฆโฝ๐ throughout the centre.
The children loved following Luna Rooโs exciting football adventure and learning about courage, teamwork, determination, and believing in yourself. The story sparked lots of enthusiasm, laughter, and wonderful conversations throughout our storytime session.
We enjoyed coming together to celebrate the joy of reading and sharing stories with children all across Australia.
