Elkemist is a versatile multi-instrumentalist, producer, hybrid live DJ, facilitator and ceremonialist who plays multi-genre sets rooted in mystical sounds and ethnic flavours. With a deep love of tribal bass blended with rising psychedelic energy, his sets are curated to take audiences on a sacred journey of sonic alchemy, supported by live looping with yidaki/didjeridoo, vocals, flute and percussion.

Having played at festivals around Canada and Australia including Shambhala (CAN), Wicked Woods (CAN), Rainbow Spirit (AUS), Dragon Dreaming (AUS) and Wild Horses (AUS), he was also booked to close the Chill Island stage at last year’s canceled Esoteric Festival. While living in Canada, he co-founded a weekly ecstatic dance called Dance Wave, and he recently launched this offering in Australia to host intentional dance journeys and ceremonial gatherings for his hometown community.

Whether it’s a peak time psychedelic set, rising tribal bass journey, ecstatic dance or sunrise festival set, expect a voyage across space and time, inspired by sounds from around the world to encourage the audience to move beyond the perceived limits of their bodies and minds.

🙌🏼Meet Your DJ 🙌🏼

Saoradh (pronounced *Say-or-rah*) — Scottish Gaelic for ‘liberation’ — is a Melbourne-based DJ and sonic guide rooted in the North East of England and the Scottish Borderlands of his maternal lineage.

His name is an ode to the awakening of the feminine polarity: that quality of depth, receptivity and coherence that restores us to ourselves when we are brave enough to feel what we’ve been carrying.

His sound is deep, ritualistic and unafraid of the dark , an eclectic but cohesive weave of electronic textures and natural instruments that builds with intention and attitude. A Saoradh set doesn’t let you stay on the surface. It asks you to descend, to face what’s waiting, and to come back up carrying something real.

He believes how we dance is a mirror of how we live , and that the floor is one of the most powerful places available to us for transformation.
