Some of our fabulous new RMIT UP student ambassadors helping us celebrate World Sleep Day today with Scape Australia! 💤💤

Scape’s Gen Z Wellbeing Index 2024 showed that young Australians get about 7 hours sleep per night, putting them on the lower end of the amount of recommended sleep for young people.

Only a minority of young Australians say they wake up feeling fresh and energised. Oh dear!

The top factors preventing Gen Zs getting a good night’s sleep include their phone usage, stress and anxiety 😭

We are excited to share RMIT University's new brand campaign, What the future?!, focused on equipping our students with the practical skills, knowledge and mindset to adapt and thrive in an uncertain technology-driven future.

The campaign shows how RMIT is tackling some of the world’s big problems by juxtaposing the anxiety young people are feeling about the state of the world with the solutions RMIT can provide.

RMIT UP Foundation Studies team leaders and teachers Rebecca Pohlner and Joanne Bradley enjoyed connecting with prospective students and their parents while leading fun, interactive demonstration classes in Saudi Arabia and China last week.

In Beijing, Rebecca led a Foundation Studies art and design class where over 40 attendees engaged with the creative process and experienced what it’s like to study art and design at RMIT University. Both students and parents enjoyed the practical nature of the class content and left with newfound skills and a deep understanding of the benefits of studying a Foundation Studies Program.

Meanwhile, in Riyadh, Joanne delivered an engaging and insightful STEM workshop for around 35 students, which was well received.

We’ll be announcing more Foundation Studies demonstration classes in the near future, so prospective RMIT students can experience firsthand how our programs give international students the skills they need to be university ready.
