Special Needs Plan - Victorian Institute of Teaching 08/05/2018

Disturbingly, we noticed another PD provider stating on their website that Victorian teachers need to complete a full 20 hours of Special Needs PD in order to 'keep their jobs' under the VIT's Special Needs plan. This is NOT the case. The VIT requires that PART of your annual 20 hours of PD consists of PD with a focus on teaching students with special needs. For full information, please see the VIT website. We have PD that meets the requirements so feel free to check out our website for more info but please don't be fooled by misinformation or waste money on PD you don't need or want.

Special Needs Plan - Victorian Institute of Teaching As part of the government Special Needs Plan, teachers are now required to build their capacity to teach learners with disability.

We like to think we're fairly open to criticism but it was a bit of a surprise yesterday to have a teacher describe one of our online courses as ''a great curse''. Seems a bit harsh :D The rest of the sentence was quite complimentary so we'll hope for the best and assume that was an autocorrect fail :D You can see more feedback from our teachers on our course pages.

NESA have been upgrading their system for recording teacher PD attendance. If you've been waiting a few days for your hours to appear, don't fret, they'll be up soon. :)

UPDATE: NESA have informed us that no PD providers can access the NESA database for another couple of weeks :(

We went to google looking for a nice picture to wish everyone well on our special day but couldn't stop giggling at the variety of spelling options available. We made our own image, feel free to debate if we got it right. :)
