Something Has Changed
There comes a point in entrepreneurship when the old measures stop telling you the whole truth. Your revenue can still be growing. Customers still interacting and the business can still look successful. And yet something has changed. You know it. You feel it, I know I did. I had to change.
What once energised you begins to feel heavy. And that ambition begins to feel like obligation. Unfortunately the business you worked so hard to build may no longer fit the person you are becoming. Something has changed.
Our instinct is often to fix the business. I know you can try a new strategy which is aimed at a new market. Or a new offer.
But sometimes the business isn't the problem. Sometimes the entrepreneur and the enterprise have simply fallen out of coherence. That is a very different problem which will require a very different conversation.
Over the coming weeks, that is the conversation we will be opening here at the Centre for Conscious Entrepreneurs. It's a start. There is much to share.
Not how to achieve more at any cost. That's expensive. But we want to share how to build, lead and create without losing coherence with who you are becoming.
Because the next chapter may not require more performance.
It may require more presence. When was the last time you took a moment to consider this? And really understand the difference?
Performance asks: What do I need to do?
Presence asks first: What is actually happening here?
Presence for me is having the capacity to see what is, before deciding what to do.
