Creating educational events that focus on Donor Conceived People, sharing lessons of previous generations with new Parents via donor conception so they can better support their kids. We create educational events and support services that hold the DCP at the centre. We also aim to educate DCPs family and friends, as well as donors, so they can better support the DCP they love. No matter what shape your family is or whether it includes a ‘dad’, a big shout out to all the donor conceived people for whom navigating this day might be a bit tricky.

And also to those that aren’t fazed.

Meike’s 11yo daughter normally takes her grandad to these things but he’s not well enough to go this year. “Since you do all the dad things in our family, can you come to the a Father’s Day breakfast instead?!”

🧡This is an opportunity to have your say about the future of fertility care in Australia💚

Public consultation is now open on the draft National Safety and Quality Standards for Assisted Reproductive Technology Services — and it’s something we think everyone touched by fertility treatment should know about.

Yesterday, Meike participated in a group discussion with the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care alongside other people with lived experience of donor conception.

Our collective goal is simple: to improve standards of care for everyone involved in fertility treatment — but particularly for the people who are born as a result of it.

Because fertility treatment doesn’t end when a baby is born.

The decisions made, information provided and practices followed by fertility clinics can have lifelong implications for donor conceived people.

⚠The public consultation is open until 6 September 2026, and the Commission is specifically inviting consumers, donors, donor conceived people and people conceived through ART to complete the consumer survey.

We need as many people as possible to have their say.

👉 First, head to our website and read our Rapid Review update to understand where things are up to and why these new Standards matter.

👉 Then, complete the official consultation survey. It doesn't matter whether your fertility treatment was recent or decades ago — your experience is relevant.

The more lived experience that is brought into this process, the stronger the opportunity to ensure that the future of Australia's fertility sector reflects the needs of everyone it touches — including the people born from fertility treatment.

We LOVE this one. 💛

A Kids Book About Donor Conceived People is written by Taylor Hovish — who is donor conceived herself. In fact, we think this may be the only children’s book about donor conception written by a donor conceived person.

Designed for primary school-aged kids, this book does more than simply explain what it means to be donor conceived. It includes lots of thoughtful prompts to help keep the conversation going — making it a great resource to come back to as your child grows and develops their own questions.

And it’s not just for donor conceived kids and their parents. It’s also a wonderful way for siblings, friends, teachers, extended family and other adults to learn more about what it actually means to be donor conceived.

As always, we love resources that centre the experience of the donor conceived person. ❤️

Its a question most parents via donor conception ask themselves at some point because, as legendary computer programmer and author Ellen Ullman says, "its deeply natural to want to know [about our genetics]".

We explore the risks and benefits of this decision in our Considerations for Early Donor Contact webinar, which we ran last week. If you missed it, you can still access the recording - but only until tomorrow!
