In our recent SDI webinar, Steve Wood shared a simple example:

A leader praises Sharon for how much money she brought into the organisation.

Sounds positive, right?

But Sharon is driven by helping people. The same message would land better as:

โ€œSharon, Iโ€™ve been looking at the figures this month. The number of customers youโ€™ve helped is fantastic.โ€

What if your teamโ€™s conflict isnโ€™t really about the issue?

It might be about whatโ€™s driving each person underneath it.

In our recent ๐—ฆ๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ด๐˜๐—ต ๐——๐—ฒ๐—ฝ๐—น๐—ผ๐˜†๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜ ๐—œ๐—ป๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐˜† (๐—ฆ๐——๐—œ) webinar with Steve Wood, we explored how the SDI helps teams understand motives when things are going well.

Some people are driven by helping others.
Some are driven by achieving results.
Some are driven by creating order, clarity, and process.
