Hi Folks,

We’ve got a fantastic workshop coming up, and I think you’re going to love this one!

Imagine actually building the muscles onto your own skeleton. 🦴💪

This is a fun, hands-on way to discover how your body really works — where your muscles are, what they do, and how understanding them can help you stretch, exercise and move better.

And there’s something surprisingly therapeutic about learning with your hands rather than sitting through a lecture!

No anatomy knowledge is required. We’re not training to be surgeons — this workshop is all about having fun, getting curious and learning by doing.

We’ll provide everything you need, and we’ll get up and move around too, so you can actually feel and experience some of the anatomy you’re learning.

Whether you’re into Pilates, yoga, fitness, stretching, or you’re simply curious about your own body, you’ll get something out of this.

Places are limited and spots are already filling.

Just reply to this message to reserve your place!

TMJ dysfunction .....

and neck issues are closely linked, as the muscles in your jaw and cervical spine share neurological and structural pathways. To manage this, focus on deep neck flexor strengthening to correct forward-head posture and unload the jaw. A routine of chin tucks, jaw-opening exercises, and scapular squeezes done multiple times a day is highly effective.
For a practical and effective rehabilitation routine, consider incorporating the following targeted movements:
Chin Tucks: Gently pull your head and chin straight backward (like making a double chin) without tilting your chin down. Hold for 3-5 seconds, relax, and repeat 10 times to correct forward posture.
Deep Neck Flexor Isometrics: Lie on your back, gently tuck your chin, and lift your head just ~ 1 inch off the floor. Hold for 10-30 seconds to build endurance in the deep neck muscles.
Controlled Jaw Opening: Place your tongue on the roof of your mouth (just behind your front teeth) and slowly open your mouth without letting your tongue drop. Use a mirror to ensure your jaw opens straight down without deviating to one side.
Scapular Retraction: Sit or stand with a tall spine, gently pinching your shoulder blades together and downward. This helps stabilize the neck and relieves strain on the jaw joints.

Recovery: Fads & Fundamentals
Recovery has evolved from a post-workout afterthought into a multi-billion-dollar industry. From ice baths and compression boots to wearable technology, there is no shortage of products promising faster recovery and better performance.
But despite the hype, the science is still evolving. The challenge is learning to separate evidence from marketing and choosing recovery strategies that genuinely complement your training rather than simply adding another stressor for your body to manage.
In this month's newsletter, we're sharing a short excerpt from Anthony Lett's upcoming book on the science of recovery, along with recommendations for several thought-provoking books that explore the recovery and wellness industries—ranging from evidence-based science to investigative journalism.
