Our Prep Transition program helps children (and families) feel welcome, confident and ready for their first year of school.
Through classroom visits, carefully planned activities and opportunities to build friendships, we support every child to settle in and enjoy school from day one.
Because when children feel safe, connected and supported, they are ready to learn and grow.

Our Buddy Program is a special part of school life.

All Prep students are paired with Year 6 buddies, building friendships that help them feel safe, supported and connected from day one. And for our older students, it’s a chance to grow as leaders and role models, living out the values of kindness, respect and responsibility.

These relationships create a strong sense of belonging across our school and memories that last long after the Prep year.

This week is Bullying No Way: National week of action (11 to 15 August 2025). At SJV we believe that when we , bullying has no place. What could you do to be bold, be kind, and speak up to help support someone you know?
