🌏🔬 We are thrilled to share the 2026 ICQ Global Chemistry Educators Program — coming to Shanghai University this July!

We are incredibly proud to have five outstanding Australian chemistry teachers representing the RACI at this year's ICQ Global Chemistry Educators Program, hosted at Shanghai University:

👩‍🔬 Olivia Belshaw 👨‍🔬 Nathan Curnow 👩‍🔬 Joanne Thompson 👩‍🔬 Claire Phillips 👩‍🔬 Catriona Chaikin

These incredible educators will be delivering a world-class, hands-on chemistry program to students from years 7-10, bringing Australian chemistry teaching expertise to a global audience.

Here's a taste of what students can look forward to:

🧪 Years 7 & 8 From a Lab Safety Escape Room to Microscale Titrations, Calorimetry, Metal Reactions, Separation Techniques, and Making Indicators- students will be immersed in real, hands-on chemistry from day one.

⚗️ Years 9 & 10 Pushing further into the world of chemistry with Aspirin Synthesis, Stoichiometry, Equilibrium Systems, Titration Competitions, Periodicity explorations, and a fascinating session on Detoxification — modelling Australian Indigenous science practices. Students will truly be thinking like chemists.

This program is about more than chemistry, it's about building global connections, celebrating curiosity, and showing students what's possible when science knows no borders. 🌏

We can't wait to share the journey with you. Stay tuned for updates, behind-the-scenes moments, and highlights from Shanghai next month! 🇦🇺✈️🇨🇳
